Got an unidentifiable taper on a 1990's machine tool spindle, the largest diameter is 1.25 inch, taper is 7/24, so you'd expect it to be a 30 taper and the drive dogs on an ISO 30 toolholder certainly match the spindle nose. But the overall length of the taper in the spindle is around 1.25 inches not 1.9 inches.

        Can't see any matches here

Any idea what taper I've got?

Can you name the tool as somebody may have one or know a man that has.
