I use slotting/slitting saw with a 5mm bore a lot and recently changed my mini mill so I had to lathe mt arbor down and I ruined it. Does anyone know where I can buy a metric strait shank saw arbor with a 5mm bore. Preferably the sank would be 6mm diameter or under.

I could make one myself but a bought one will be far better and I don't want to make one.

There is a company GenSwiss that makes them but they're $200 each and they want me to set up a USP collect account or something so I get charged whatever price UPS want to charge me when my parcel shows up.

      Any help would be appreciated.

I would not bank on a bought one been any better than you can make. I have quite a lot of them & most are not true.

The GenSwiss ones look mighty impressive surprise

… but I have to wonder if any ‘mini mill’ is good enough to warrant using them.

Using a 6mm shank to drive a 5mm hole cutter dose not provide much driving area of contact, better to go a bit larger to prevent slipping.

As Stevie says probably best make your own, you only need to turn a 5mm shoulder on say an 8mm rod, drill and tap the end for a fixing screw and use a suitable size washer to attach the saw blade.
If you want to use a 6mm shank as you only have a 6mm collet you can turn the shank down from 8-6mm for the length needed for the collet.
