All my (yes I have a few) 0.3 to 4mm keyless chucks come from rotagrip at spread out intervals and all are identical looking and runout is as near to zero as I can measure. Good company.

Earlier this evening at around 8.40pm I emailed Rotagrip with queries regarding a good quality precision drill chuck and received an almost immediate reply ! I contend that such superb service warrants supporting in the best way possible, and so an order was placed before 9pm .

They also sell Or used to on Ebay as Fordeight (which lives at their premises.)

I went to have a look at the Rotagrip website. My antivirus software (AVG) is warning me about a card skimming attack on the site. Just saying – I don’t actually know anything, but I have emailed them in case.

I had a quick look at the Rotogrip website last night and what I saw was very ordinary. For example, there were only two 0″-1″ micrometers, one conventional and the other digital. In neither case was the manufacturer named. Perhaps I am expecting too much.

On a previous matter, this morning I saw a nice new delivery van with the names eBay and Evry on it. I don’t rate eBay highly but even it would be dragged down by being associated with Evry.

My credit card has been refunded with the cost of the items I did not get.  I wonder who bought the cutting tools as a job lot?

Yeah, you don’t go to Rotagrip for the standard stuff.

It’s a bit of a “I can’t find this thing anywhere else in the UK, so I’ll take a look on their website or give them a ring” situation with Rotagrip.  They don’t have everything (and often if they do have it, it’s not on their website; thus the phone call), but they’re always worth ringing if you’re out of luck with the usual places.

Other than the above, I’ve only ever really considered them for Vertex and Bison products.  I’ve bought some Vertex tooling from them, but am too poor to justify Bison chucks from their site.😉

I have been over to Rotagrip in Birmingham a number of times.  Extremely helpful and always had what I wanted, last time nice big 3 jaw chuck for the Colchester.  They have a phenomenal load of stuff including pre-used.  I challenge anyone to go there and not come out with something.

Absolutely.  The warehouse is like an Aladdin’s cave, rammed full of machine tools. The boss was absolutely brilliant.

Not a big fan of rotogrip, but that’s another story.

I got my other orders from Chronos, one of which is wrong. I’ve emailed but they aren’t replying. 😡
