can anyone help me identify this lathe I found in Dad’s attic? There are no maker marks in the normal places (ends of the bed, front of the bed, etc…) There is a spot in on the webbing in the bed that has C.P. stamped on it. Only other markings are a serial number on the Bennington that matches the head serial number. The head looks different than all the ones I’ve been researching today so hopefully someone will recognize it. The head does index in 60 spots. It’s sitting on a Borel base. Any help would be appreciated and I can send more photos if you let me know what details you need to see to identify. Thanks in advance. Craig.

Thank you Jason. I might have to wait till I’m home on a computer. I’m guessing it doesn’t like me trying to do it with my phone.

First post should read bed not ‘Bennington’.

Then bulbous headstock puts me in mind of Coronet lathes, but i don't recognise it.

With the large faceplates and collets I suspect it was a clockmaker, rather than a jeweller who used it.

I think I figured it out. It looks like a Rivett R-1 made post WW2. The Rivett name was likely on a pedestal that is long gone now, when they put it on the Borel bed. Haven’t found any literature on it yet, so if anyone knows more about it, let me know. Thanks.
