Several posts by member Jamessm34 seem to have promotional advertising material for PUNIN products tacked on the end as a final paragraph. One is for PUNIN coffee, the other for a PUNIN cosmetology course.

I suspect, from the phrasing, he might be – or is getting his posts written by – some flavour of AI.

Which may ultimately be an interesting philosophical question – would a purely AI entity be allowed to participate in discussion forums? If they follow the rules, why not? Or do you have to be human?

Plenty of humans on  forums these days copying and posting AI answers to questions and long-winded further discussion in order to appear more knowledgeable than they really are.  You can often pick it by the bland uniformity of the prose, and the inevitable factual errors. So total AI would just be eliminating the middle man. And seems to be widespread on things like Facebook already, on non- technical subjects such as politics, news, hatemongering etc.
