Hello All
I recently bought a job lot of 3.5” loco castings etc. from a lady who knows nothing about them. In order to identify which design they were made for I am initially making an assumption – based on ignorance on my part – that this lot was for one particular design (it all came to me together in an ancient wooden chest). I know I might be barking up the wrong tree but at least it is a starting point. If any one has any advice or suggestions I would be very pleased to read your replies.
The six same size wheel castings suggest an 0-6-0 design. The cylinder set looks like the outside type with slide valve. The chimney/s or smoke stacks and steam dome are squat and look just like some on the Hunslett tanks but I understand that few Hunslett locos carried outside cylinders.
One clue can be seen on the valve chest covers – they are marked “KENNION”
Also in the box is a heavy gauge length of copper tube with all the copper sheet (and more) needed to complete the boiler. The tube is 3.25” dia x 12” in length.
I have researched the LBSC 0-6-0 designs and some others that KENNION used to sell but nothing seems to tie in with these castings.
Having trawled the net for hours I am still no nearer identification.
I have posted some pics here in the hope that someone may recognize the bits and I will take pics with me when I visit ME show next month – see if I can pick a few brains.

Hope you can help.
