Quantum computers produce every single possible answer instantly

I find that I want THE answer to the problem I'm posing, not 'Lots & lots of answers all of which may be correct, but not necessarily in this universe'. I imagine it makes sorting the correct answer from all possible answers a significant problem. I wonder if it would need a quantum computer to do that?

        Regards,

        Richard.

I think the point is the number of correct answers is significantly smaller than the sum of the right answers plus all the wrong answers. If you can jump to the subset of right answers you get a short cut to the answer you require.

One of my clients dropped something off yesterday so kicked the tyres on this for a while.

It's a Lynx replica so no sierras were hurt in its making. Same ali monocoque as the original and built in the same way though at a price, probably in the region of £150-200K

Don't think he takes it out in the rain much! Though his wife or more precisely her hair was not looking forward to the trip upto Pendine Sands in it next weekend for the VHRA event.

His son makes some quite nice bikes too out of the same workshops.

Well, the warm fine weather is paying dividends for the bees, I checked them day before yesterday and they have full combs but not capped. One needed another box of honey combs so they got that an hour ago. All being well I will harvest shortly as they are capped.

Found a nucleus that previously had a Queen now Queenless? dont ask I dont know but in previous years have had Swallows take them on mating flights!

As Pooh said, 'We will have honey for tea'. I also noticed the bees working Clover flowers, It takes 72 hours with a temperature over 68 F to get the Clover to give nectar.

Those deBolex bikes look fiendishly uncomfortable. Make my wrists, neck & knees ache just to look at them.

While no more comfortable, I rather prefer the style of the frame in this one:

Not sure how it could cope with corners or speed bumps, though, with that ground clearance.

They're fine in the rain – just don't let the speed drop too much. I used to find my Fraser Nash was fine with just aero-screens at anything above 50 mph in the rain.

Quite right Russell, I used to have a 1928 Austin 7 tourer and that was ok in the rain providing that the speed did not drop below 35mph, I'd quite forgotten.

A bit off-topic: à propos screens, motorbike rather than car. Someone I knew who had done National Service as a despatch rider, riding the rough bits of Salisbury Plain, was very derogatory about the adoption of windscreens on motorbikes. He said that the screen occupied/obstructed the very space through which he was trained to dive if it became necessary to 'abandon ship'! The result of doing that on a modern (i.e. mid 1960s) bike would be a much widened smile!!!!!

It's a real tragedy – for the uninformed sparklett bulbs look so benign but contain a hell of a lot of energy.

I remember as a kid one of my mates hitting a sparklett bulb with a sledge hammer – it went off like a bomb and made a neat dent in the block wall of his parents' garage!

I'm not sure if he got a b*ll*cking – can't remember – but I got away with it in both sense of the word.
