Tri-Leva decal artwork?

Hi All.

Wonder if anyone could point me at a source for a fair image (or actual artwork) of the speed selector decal on the front of a Tri-Leva unit. Trying to eliminate the 'void' on the front of latest toy. Images from internet are all slightly skewed so aren't really ideal for print. I am trying to avoid having to recreate artwork if I can.

I have asked Myford in the past for this label as it is the only one they don’t supply and they said they have no plans to supply it n the future, looks like an opening for some enterprising chap £ £ £

Hi Frank,

If you can get a high resolution photo then it can be corrected for lens distortion and perspective in a bitmap manipulation program such as Paintshop Pro:

A decent photo editing programme and some water transfer printing paper on a colour printer (laser preferably) might work??

There are three photos on here in my album labelled ML7.

Not sure if they are good enough (it is a bit battered).

I did find the curved surface makes getting a good photo difficult though.

Hope there would not be any copyright issues if you do this,

Did a quick mock-up in Coreldraw. If anyone wants a eletronic copy PM me, Coreldraw supports most vector and raster formats. I have been using it since version 2!

That is good. I get the feeling that the OP wants a facsimile copy of the original rather than something that has the same information on it.

Is it possible in CD to over- or under-lay the photo above onto your own and adjust fonts, letter proportions and spacing to more closely match the original (e.g. look at the right hand lever – its 'stalk' is between the 'U' and 'L' of pulley)?

A few things….

For those interested the original decal/label is 55mmx108mm.

The fonts are unknown to me. In the "Speed" & "Selector" words the O has a sort of square aspect – I have no font like that. The remaining text is of a different font again but a few close matches. I imagine that the original artwork probably hails from pre computer composition practices and perhaps no exact typeface match exists.

The colour of the 'Tri_Leva", in the above image, is a sort of orange but from an aggregate of images on the web I would guess its "Myford Red".

Andrew suggested a hires photo – would anyone be in a position to provide same? All I have is a black rectangle and images from every angle but dead on – from the internet. I have put about 2 hours into the 'Tri_Leva' logo part so it looks like this so its going to be a long slog.

As DC31k says I aiming for a facsimile as otherwise I'm doomed to eternal wandering in search of ….. on the other hand never mind.

Adam – I will probably steal your gear levers.

To make a facsimile copy is very time consuming. I would estimate 8+ hours for the above.

I have had most success importing the photo (the deskewed one above is more than adequate) into a CAD (Turbo-, Auto-, Intelli-, etc.) program and drawing each letter individually.

On this plate, it is quite good as each digit only needs drawing once, there is a lot of duplication of 'speed', 'motor' and 'pulley', and 'speed' 'selector' at the top share a lot of common letters.
