Maxcut 5 – Arc Euro Trade

[Phil SParticipant @phils66830]

As Arc Euro is no more I phoned Rock Oil enquiring about potential suppliers of small quantities, given that they list 1 litre packs on the website. They were unable to help and pointed out that the minimum size is now 20 litre. The only other chlorine free neat oil I could locate was Castrol Ilocut 154 from Lube Finder of Weymouth. Came next day and appears to work well, perhaps slightly thinner than Maxcut. One case where other suppliers are not avaliable.

Thankyou for that! That is local to me, and to our ME society

Just as a heads-up Smith and Allan (you can find them on Amazon as well as their own website) sell their NearCut32 in smaller sizes.

I know this particularly because I wasn’t paying attention on Amazon a few years ago and accidentally ordered 20 litres instead of 5 litres (I didn’t even notice the price difference, I was that inattentive!).😳

I now have probably a lifetimes supply of sulphurised cutting oil.  In fact it’s entirely possible that I may end up leaving some to my grandchildren! 😄

Depending on the users location, maybe try Pennine Lubricants; I’m sure they do some of their cutting fluids in 5l containers.
