Since last year I have been considering one of these but cannot find much info on them, based on a Heinric design, has anyone built one?

I think you are misspelling the name try googling HEINRICI (with an i at the end) and you will have a lot more success.

They look nice, it may be a good project, I will give it some thought.

Hi Brian, thank you for pointing that out, that was a typo in this instance though my spelling is pretty rubbish.

On top of that in referring to the model in question the makers emailed me about it, the Heinriki (WLC2), so that's either their take on the spelling or their typo! Apparently its not currently in production but might be next year.

On reflection I shall (should) probably tackle my Stuart James Coombes that I started 30 years ago, once Ive finished faffing about that is. But it does look like a nice model to tackle maybe, one day.

The Engineer's Emporium Heinrici engine is a Wiggers design. Wiggers retired some 5 years ago and the design 'died' then. As did the Lameter hot air engine that also appears in the EE catalogue.

I tried to get a set of those Heinrici castings and was told by Adrian Grimett of EE that he had one set of the original Wiggers' Heinrici castings that he was going to make up 'one day'. How/why those designs are in the EE catalogue I know not except perhaps that a deal was hoping to be done, but never came to pass.

For anyone interested, the Hubbard marine engine castings (ex- Heinz Kornmuller Classic Motors) are being sold by EE.

I like the configuartion ( but not the price of castings) and I am looking for a home for couple of displacer cylinders about this size.

I'm tempted to see if I can get a set of drawings for this one, he no longer does the castings but that has never stopped me.

Graham at Alyn Foundry has the rights and patterns to another engine about the same size as the reeves one but I don't think he is likely to be casting any more, Jo over on MEM has a build thread of hers going at the moment and also did some work on Westbury's original that he based the Reeves on on a few months ago.

Julius also have a fabricated version of Westbury's engine on his website

Here is a video of the common cylinder linkage in slow motion, starting to get my head around it.

I think I could manage a seperate power cylinder but that would be my limit.
