I claim no credit … I just stumbled across this:

      https://youtu.be/NIx_KycgOJM?feature=shared

Rachel appears to know her stuff, and we all have a need to control this size of motor  sometimes [don’t we ?]

      Worth watching, and worth bookmarking

This website https://www.circuito.io/ will take an arduino and the peripherals you have bought and not only tell a complete electrical numpty how to connect them up with pictures but provide code too.

Clearly explained, but why do so many ‘podcast presenters’ have to shout?

I recommend Big Clive… he can sometimes be a bit slow, but his videos are excellent and his voice is easier on the ears!

Also most DC motor applications don’t need a microcontroller. Some switches will do the job.

But Rachel was describing more sophisticated applications than ‘most’
