Kennedy Hexacut blade tensioner

I believe that Graham Meek published a design to tension the blade on these machines. Can anyone tell me where I can find the article?

If you have access to Facebook, there is a group specific to the Hexacut, where one of the members has posted one

It looks remarkably similar to Graham’s below, though I didn’t spot any acknowledgement.

It’s a private group, so you would need to apply to join.

It seems that I have to join Face book to access the group. I really don’t want to share my personal data with Meta, so I will contact Graham direct. Just hope he won’t mind!

I didn’t realise that the thread spread to pages 2 and 3. Should have been more observant! Seems such a simple solution, why didn’t I think of it etc? Main reason is that I am not as smart as Graham Meek!

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the accolade, but 40 years in Toolmaking has given me quite a library of problem solutions. It is after all just a glorified Sash Cramp.

I can say that since I started using this device the hacksaw blades last a lot longer than they used to.
