MEW 252 will have a'251' printed on the cover blush

Sorry, and yes we should have spotted this sooner.

Before anyone moans… we will be including a special "252" triangle in issue 253 for you to cut out and glue onto the cover of 252.

Tsk tsk, caught again using last edition's pages as templates for this edition. Much safer to have your graphic artists make up libraries of templates with XXXXX in place of old text. Much easier to spot if it has not been updated to this edition's text. Graphic artists however hate making up sensible things like libraries of standard templates for all those pages that use the same format every edition, including the front . It's not "creative," you see. The application of a red hot pair of pliers to sensitive parts of their anatomy eventually gets the message through though. Having to issue a reprinted triangle to stick on erroneous front pages justifies getting out the pliers and and the charcoal brazier, I reckon.

Will 253 also include the free stick of Pritt Stick or will you be supplying a Loctite product?

Predictably this catastrophe will cause a civil war when the magazine claims to reach it's 1000th edition.

I expect the future argument about which is the true kilomew will reach thousands of posts and there will be several conspiracy theories.

It could get very rough. MEW failed to start counting properly from Issue Zero,. There should have been a 12A. Issue 666 will be banned. And of course all ideologically unsound editions will be incinerated during Brexiit's Great Metric Purge.

Whatever happens poor Neil is doomed to be air-brushed from history. In the new dawn no editor with green credentials will be allowed to corrupt our youth. (ie recently retired Model Engineers)

Issue 254 will only be a metric edition

Issue 256 will be a 'puters in the workshop special

This reminds me of how at one time there was a pedantic obsession with changing every reference to 'kilobytes' to 'kibibytes' on Wikipedia.
