      So this is what £15 gets you at a carboot sale.

      It drilled a 20mm hole with a worn bit (see the one covered in brick dust?) faster than my Bosch SDS could drill a 13mm hole with a fresh bit so I'm quite happy about how well it works.

      The issue I am having is that instead of using straight shanks or SDS shanks the drill has a hexagonal hole in the end of the spindle with holds a sort of adaptor which has a tapered hole in the end.

      (Spring wants to ping out hence zip ties)

      The other half dozen adaptors either have triangular shanks that don't fit the drill or the hexagon is too small or too short.

      Taper shanked bit is labelled Armeg but googling their name now only shows SDS or staight shanked bits.

      I can't find much technical information about Torna 765s on the internet (though I see a lot how it is the first electro pneumatic drill). Does anyone here know what thesse tapered bits are called and where I can get new ones?

          Can't see the size of the taper holder but the two common sizes before SDS etc were "A taper" and "K taper" A was about 3/8" at the widest, K 3/4" Unles syou have very small feet then teh bits you have are K taper

          Not seen them for sale lately but then again I have not been looking

          Edit Here you go bits and Bobs

            Oh my, I weep for my bank account. ;-;

            Thanks for the link though! I expected a simple taper bit would be cheaper to manufacture than the slots in an SDS bit. Gonna try and see if I can weld on a tapered slug onto a SDS bit or something.

            Turns out I own 2 K taper bits and 1 A taper bit with a K to A adaptor.

            "Bobs" link showed me I also own some Kango K1 holders too. Triangle shank is still a mystery but has an A taper. No idea who Uni-fix is or what their holder fits.

            Kango, mystery triangles x 2, unifix, mystery-but-i'm-gonna-steal-the-chuck-off-of-it-anyway

            Anyone recognise these? It's a long shot but otherwise I'm gonna just use them as stock (not sure for what though).

              Can't help with the triangles except to say they will be HARD.

              Armeg are quiet pricy you may find something cheaper now you know what to google for.

                The file test can confirm, I have a decent idea of how to anneal hardened steel though so it is all good.

                And that is true, no doubt I have walked past them before at car boot sales too.
