Hello all I am thinking of making a mandrel handle for my myford super 7 lathe. I have found on the net plans for a handle for a ML10 does the Ml10 have the same spindle/mandrel dia as a super 7? I have searched on net but cant find any info regarding this.

          Does it really matter?

just measure the dia of your mandrel and go from there.

                Hi DW
The one I made is sprung loaded similar to handles on a milling machine . so it springs out went you leave go .
Its a safeguard. & I can run the lathe with it intact

Novel use of a steering box drop arm Nobby. And looks the biz as well.

I made mine from an old alloy pulley, about 8" dia. I find it easier to use and more controlable. Mostly used for threading.
