      It's alive! I tested it on Sunday, works beautifully. We just need to work out what belts we'd ideally need (got a good idea), then it'll be perfect. No electrical issues at all anymore… and lots of flexibility going forward if my dad wants to put other machines in there (or upgrade motors etc).

      Thanks to everyone who helps get this sorted out!

        Well done Richard. In a tricky borderline case like this there was always a slight possibility that the Linisher was faulty after all. To find it still didn't work after expensive electrical work would have been a real downer. Great news that your time and money weren't wasted fixing the wrong problem. Hurrah!

          That is true! But, in this case, our electrical setup wasn't sufficient even if the machine was faulty. And thankfully as it was purchased brand new, it would have just been replaced if it was faulty. But you're right, could have been a very different situation, especially if purchased second hand.
