Hopefully they should be a source of high-quality steel.

Horologists will presumably realise why I chose 7mm diameter.

Well … that worked-out nicely !

The 7mm pins [no tolerance stated] are a near-perfect sliding fit in the 7mm bores [no tolerance stated] of my Thornton cutters.
