Hi Peter, Sounds like you NEED to go by car ! Only a hop skip and jump from Skipton, we will be there on Friday and would pick you up as we passed but unfortunate my car is full.

Anyway have a great day out whenever you decide to go. John

I attended last year (first show ever) and enjoyed the experience, lots of nice people and interesting stuff to see.

The catering is adequate, and whilst there is a very large parking area the traffic management team is obviously trained by Stevie Wonder.

I was in a traffic queue on the main road about 400 yards from the Sainsbury's store lights all the way across the park to the hall which took me about 25 minutes. With better trained staff it would have been three or four minutes tops. Get there early and you should avoid the hold ups.

It was a long drive home so I didn't even look for a beer, can't recall if there was a bar or not.

Went last couple of years; there is a shuttle bus to & from Harrogate station every hr IIR, Finance Director (wife) came with me in 2012, Wandered around for an hr or so then she got the bus into Harrogate for a shopping trip whilst I did my kid in the sweet shop scenario. IIR also there is a bar of some description in between the two halls but can't recall if there is any 'draught ale' available only bottles & cans. Will be going next week with some friends, Sunday most likely, less crowded & still plenty of stuff to buy if need be.

I’ll be making my second visit. I was pretty awestruck last year, spent too much time gawping and not really looking. Was also really surprised by the focused and competitve buying abilities demonstrated by many attendees – are these really the same people who potter about dutifully following their better halves found Sainsbury’s on a Saturday afternoon?
