In Feb and March 2014 Brian Wood described a very simple method of cutting metric threads on a Myford ML7B. Unfortunately I am elderly and need some help.

Mr Wood does not answer my emails nor does the editor of MEW.

So – has anyone followed his article and can advise me?

I have made the new bracket but my lathe is a Super 7B and I cannot see where to fit the bracket.

Also – what gearing is needed from spindle to gearbox.

I would be very grateful if someone could help.

      Many thanks.

      Richard.

          Hello Richard,

I'm sorry to hear I haven't replied to your emails, the reason being that none have reached me, I would be only too happy to help you, others have reached me so there has to be a fault somewhere.

The common mistake many make is assuming the 'dash' in my email address is a dash, it is an underscore _______

Try again please wood_y [at] btinternet [dot] com all lower case with no gaps

          Best regards

          Brian
