At first i tried to make stick-on lables look good but I failed and now don’t bother at all. They look better than my handwriting. I added more yesterday but in between I found this square in my discard pile in a very bad state – rust and cracked and chipped wood with big gap between brass and wood. Now I’m retired, I need to fill time so I gave it some attention. Now it is my favorite small square – the 100+ years of wear make it fit the hand so well. I’d say it is not ‘as good as new’ but better than new.
