        .

What did I do today. ……………… Earned a first class honours degree in stupidity is what I did.!!!! cheeky

Left my thumb in the line of fire between the bed plate and the crank web as I tested the spin of the Economy engine I am building. 13 kg of flywheels hanging on the crank Vs my thumb did not end well.

It does not show up as it's not got the colour as yet but the nail is separated from the thumb so I imagine it will be lost at some point.

        Full of paracetamol, Nick

I have lost any feeling in the tip. Can even jab it with a scalpel. laugh

If it does not come back soon I will go and get it checked out. ……… But really don't fancy sitting in a waiting room for 5 hours.

There is no pressure. The nail is separated so no build up of blood and goo as it can find it's way out.

I can fully sympathise with you. Was once threading a final drive chain on a BSA A10 and asked my friend to push very gently on the k/start. To speed things up he kicked it instead. Can still feel my index finger crushed between the chain and sprocket as it revolved until my wrist hit the shock. Then we had to do it in reverse. NICE!

After months of keeping away from crowded places due to immune system being dodgy was driven to see a local Rally driver a character who is always entertaining then to my PEEMS club to listen to a talk on the repair of musical instruments.

Great to be back into the model World had good news the Chemotherapy seems to have worked at the present time I'm in remission.

There are other problems a possible side effect but will try to sort that out eventually at least back to metal munching.

While in Hospital a couple of my motorcycle speed friends offered to take me to Pendine speed attempts next month but at the moment legs are knackered so doubt if I can go.

This morning I made 4 round nuts to go on the ends of a rocking horse swing irons.

Harry, I know just what you mean. Can you remember falling off your bike when you were a kid? You seemed to be in the air, hovering over the hard road surface for ages – certainly long enough to think "this is going to hurt." And hurt it always did! I also remember the same phenomenon when falling off a motorbike, and that hurt, too!
