When looking don't forget Preloved, Gumtree and Homeworkshop.org.uk, the classified adds on here and maybe even the for sale pages on lathes.co.uk plus ebay of course. Ebay fees are encouraging people to sell elsewhere.

Any reasonably near model engineering clubs might know of sales as well. It can also be worth asking around on any industrial estates too but that might result in larger machines. Needs to be one that does have some real industry ongoing though.
