Moore and Wright Micrometer

Hi does anyone know how the anvil can be removed on an old 1960's 0 to 1/2 inch micrometer. I wish to replace the anvil with a new anvil which I suspect I will have to machine myself.

I would suspect it's a press fit.

Thanks Guys, I have 3 of these 0 to 1/2 inch Moor and Wright 2 ahave poor anvils and the other is fine. You can stlil buy spares but I don't think so for these smaller models.
