Hi Peter welcome to the forum. There is a handbook available on Lathes.co.uk web site. I don't know if anyone else can help but it helps to give an idea where you are as a person local to you may help.

            Hi Peter

Steve Lilliman at Premier machine tools does photocopy manuals at very reasonable cost, not as posh as the ones from Lathes.co.uk but good value.

He has a website and also sells on eBay, he has a large range so probably worth a call if you can't find a downloadable one.

            Dave

                Peter,

I have what I believe to be an ordinal copy kindly posted to me by a forum member that I would be happy to scan for you (in the fullness of time when I can sort out the scanner connection screwed by a new router!).

If you want to pm your email address Inwill see what I can do in the next couple of days.

                Paul.

                  Have sent pm Ian.

Thanks Paul, I know what a pain scanning is, if Ian has stuff on PDF it will save you some hassle.

I bought the mill for my dad, he used to work in the aerospace industry making parts for Rolls Royce jet engines inc Concorde. He’s 100 in a couple of weeks and as this is probably his last springtime plus he’s obviously on ‘house arrest’ it’ll give him something to get excited about and do.

it’s now in use in the garage albeit still on the pallet until I can get some friends around to help lift it off once restrictions are lifted.

Looking forward to getting involved in the forum, I do a bit myself on his machines.

thanks so much for the warm welcome and help

                  Peter

                      Peter,

No worries, just let me know if you don't get sorted. You won't be disappointed with the machine if it's a good one, wouldn't be without mine! Very versatile bit of kit that opens up many possibilities for the home workshop.

                      Paul.

I may still have a chance of picking up one of these when we are allowed to move around the country again.
Any info would be much appreciated if anyone does have anything in electronic format, though for obvious reasons, there no wild rush.
Really not sure how much these normally sell for though; I've not check the wear or anything on this one, though it will come reasonably equipped in terms of milling chuck, vice etc.

I'd likel;y use it to complement the Centec 2b and sell on my Dore Westbury, though I might miss the long column on the latter.

                        Thanks

                        Bill

It has been a bit quiet of late and I just went over there to have a look and found a post I had forgotten about by me pointing back to this forum – ha ha round in circles.
Must admit I get a bit confused between the 181, Juniormill, and 00 all pretty much the same.

It has a lot in common with the Tom Senior currently discussed on another thread. If moving one the weight is closer to the net weight not the gross weight given on data sheets. Can't understand where they get the gross weight from unless it is including a shipping crate made from plate steel.

Really pleased with the machine. Whilst not as heavy as a bridgeport, it does everything We will need it to, and so versatile for a good footprint size. Perfect balance of industrial enough but manageable size to move and size.
