Hello all I am a radio amateur based in West Yorkshire who no longer has any metal working facilities due to the the passing of my father.
I belong to a radio club called North Wakefield Radio Club and we have the need for some simple metal working help. I hope that someone on here can help us out.
Basically I have a printed circuit board that is attached to a copper heat spreader. This heat spreader needs to be attached to a large aluminium heatsink which will need to be drilled and tapped for 6 M3 screws.
The printed circuit board is currently attached to the heat spreader with some M2.5 screws because it was originally intended to be water cooled and the heat spreader is sufficient for this.
However water cooling is not practical for us, hence the large aluminium heatsink.
The M2.5 screws will need to be removed and the heatspreader drilled clearance for M3 screws. The aluminium heatsink will need to be tapped.
I don't have any facilities now and the radio club members who could do this have all passed away.
If anyone could help us occasionally with a few bits and bobs of this nature I would really appreciate it if you could contact me.
I'm not sure if this forum supports personal messages or email but if it does please contact me directly.
Many thanks in anticicpation.
