I am just completing a Southworth steam water pump and I need it to share the clack bush on my boiler with the axle-driven water pump. I can't imagine them ever operating at the same time. Can anyone point me in the direction of drawings for a double clack valve? For what it's worth, the pipe size is 3/16".

      Many thanks

"And some seed fell on stony ground" Ah well, I'm thinking of trying a different approach. I plan to tap into the existing axle pump feed via a T connector to the clack and put an inline check valve in each of the feeds before they T together.

This will be under the footplate so it will keep the backhead looking more authentic – I wondered if anybody could see a problem with this approach?

Should I remove the ball from the existing clack valve?

          Many thanks

I wouldn't know one if it bit me on the leg … but

I presume that this is the thread.

I had exactly the same problem and did try a 'T' in the line for the hand-pump on the assumption that the pump exerting the highest pressure would close the output valve of its opposite number and open the boiler clack. My laziness resulted miserable failure fixed by doing just as you are proposing no pictures or drawings though..Now you got me thinking what I did, I think I just copied a single clack and put two of them onto a T piece. I'll have to go and check.
