Boiler material kit

Has anyone recently completed or about to start building a 7.25g Dart, copper boiler, using Blackgates flanged plates and copper material kit. I purchased a kit from them in 2006. I have nearly completed the boiler, to find there was not enough 3/16, dia. Phos. bronze rod to make all the stays. I am approx. 12 ft. Short of the bronze rod. I know a lot of builders use copper rivets as stays, but as I had already purchased the kit of materials, wanted to use what I had.

Has anyone else had this problem? After speaking to Blackgates they said they had no other complaints regarding the boiler kit.
