ANSI conversion to a readable format?

I have received a quote and it came in ANSI format in Notepad. My PC is unable to let me read it, any help please.

Thanks for that, In the end I used Adobe Reader which managed to open the ANSI code for me.

The content was from the UK distributor for Ifanger tools (Boring bars and heads) I have misplaced my boring tool holder so have to buy a new one.

That does highlight the problem of document format standards. Without standards there is no compatibility between different vendors software. The UN sponsored OASIS committee maintains the Open Document Format for office documents however many vendors, notably Microsoft (who are members of the committee) fail to adhere to the standards and come up with their own formats to deliberately avoid compatibility.

If you want your document to be readable in a hundred year's time perhaps you need to write it on velum!

Hi George, i have laid a trap for that gremlin, like the last thing that went missing, the special spanner for tightening the tool clamp on the lather QC tool holder. A single ended ring spanner. It turned up quite by chance in a plastic bag under the lathe, I have no idea how it got there. I had looked under there as well.

To read that ANSI doc. I used Adobe Reader X1 which will it seems read any style doc.
