        Hi All

Can any one help me with a problem.

I need to locate some 10BA bolts or studs that are 26 mm long.

I have ordered some 1/16 silver steel to die down but I think that will be a bit of a job.

I use 1/16 welding filler rod, probbly easer on the die than silver steel and avalible in 3 foot lengths.

When it arrives I would check how well your 10BA nuts fit the thread before you use it for anything that matters.

I ordered some a while ago and the nuts were a very loose fit and it would have stripped the threads in no time, I asked the supplier about it and he refunded my money.

Apparently they are using a readily available size of metric round bar of a slightly undersize diameter which leaves the finished thread undersize as well.

Yours may be OK, but I would still be wary of it.

                    Phil

                      Hi Phil

Thank you for the information I will check the thread first as i have to cut the studs to length.

I would be very interested to hear how you get on, if the studding is a good fit with the nuts perhaps you could PM me with a link to your supplier.

                          Hi Phil

As soon as I get the studding I will check the thread fit with the nuts and let you know.

                          Dave
