I built a 24-pounder Naval gun from Jerry Howell’s plans in 2002. My missus said – since we have 2 sons – I’d better make another so they can have one each when I croak (not that that’s in my current plans 🙂 )

Took a while, especially the cap squares. The new one’s the nearer, paler one.

Gonna hafta do summat about that gap behind the bumper, but that can wait.

Yes nicely done. And it appears that each wheel is properly made up from two layers of wood so the the grain direction should be running opposite on each one. If so, that’s a full size detail many miss.

Straining my eyes, it took some time before I noticed the gap in the trucks bumper, perhaps it can be moved back a tiny bit. What finish have you applied to the barrels?
