In the text (17 June 1994, Vol.172, No 3971, page 764) Mr Bray writes:
I used the cast iron flywheel available from College Engineering Supplies on my version of the engine. Due to minor problems encountered in casting the relatively small cross sections involved and the very small difference in cost, only bronze castings will be available from this source.
…. Those who wish to do so can follow my example with Suum Cuique and cut the flywheel from the solid.
Suum cuique flywheel 70mm (2 3/4″) diameter, six spokes, 3mm (1/8″) thick rim etc.,
