Hallo from Austria,

I am Wilfried, a retired business consultant with some – very old – background on mechanical engineering.

I own a Chester Mode B since 2002 for restoring old, mostly British Motorcycles.
Actually I am reparing/updating the Chester and I hope to find some information here. I am also willing to share my experiences.

thanks for your answer. I am a little bit disappointed about the search function. I cannot work out how to search only in the title of topics. Search results for Chester Model B are more than 1.500. This does not help.

Hello and welcome; the site search engine isn’t the best really.

Sometimes it’s easier to use Google to carry out a site specific search such as > Chester Model B

The above link should work OK, I hope.

There’s only a couple of pages of results. The “Chester Model B” string with the quotation marks narrows it down to exactly that phrase, and doesn’t return separate results for just Chester, model and B.

Welcome Wifreid,

I think that Chester Model B is a combined Lathe and Milling machine.

(It may not be true, but I have heard that under heavy cuts, the mill head can move).

It is effectively the same machiine as the Machine Mart CL500M. If you want an operator manual and spare parts list, they are available on the internet.

If you cannot find them, send me a private message with an E mail address, and I will send all the stails that i have from my files.
