I bit the bullet and let it uninstall my old version.
I do think V29 is easier to use.
My brother needed a 240 x 40mm section to replicate the ogee on top of some damaged Victorian skirting board.
With Alibre it took me five minutes from being handed the board to sending it to my 3D printer, and an hour and a quarter to print.
He will have to keep it in place with a thin sheet behind, and use wood filler to tidy the irregular gap along the bottom, but that’s no hardship as there are other scars and holes to fill.
The combination of CAD and 3D printing can be mind bogglingly useful.
