A guy I work with spent ages waiting for his wife to pick him up from work. He didn't have a mobile back then so he took the bus home, smashed open the front door and gave his missus a mouthful of foul mouthed abuse for not coming to get him as usual.

"But you drove this morning?"

I bet none of you lot have misplaced a car…

I suppose I,m not too bad after all. I have managed to lose/misplace a few spanners and my 6" rule. I know they are there somewhere,but where?. Will the ever turn up again before I go and buy new ones?

Who knows ! I was going to suggest forming a club,but I see there is already one in existence.

Left my car in the shop car park at the top of the street,walked home with the shopping, got up the next morning and thought it had been stolen!

While in the army I often had to go to Carlisle from Catterick, looking for parking I parked up and went about my business and when completed went find the car. No way could I find it as all the streets look the same in Carlisle. It took quite a methodical search to find street by street, boy was I relieved as i had only had it new a couple weeks.

I came out of Tesco once and went over to my vehicle and put the key in the boot to put in some shopping

It wouldn't open

So I pulled heaved and twisted at the key then started punching the lock with the heel of my hand while trying to open it, I got quite insistent and forceful, banging it hard

After a minute or so of this I stopped for a breather and looked around

This was when I spotted my car in front of my car, someone had parked exactly the same model behind my motor

Luckily there was no one about and I scarpered off ASAP

Fords being cheapo, My Escort key would open my Sons Cortina, asking about it seems Ford only used about 6 different locks over their range. My Escort was stolen one night and recovered the next day and they caught a lad who had a bunch of keys. It seems they would go pubbing and to get home steal the nearest car that one of the keys would fit.

I must be exceptionally bad with cars. First lost the car in a multistorey carpark in Bristol (how was I to know you didn't enter on the ground floor) took about an hour to find it. I've also walked home from work after driving in, thought the car was nicked from the drive until SWMBO put me right. And in the late 70 got in my Cortina parked in the high street only to realise as I checked the mirror to pull out that I didn't have fluffy dice hanging from the mirror my proper car was parked two down in the street. Don't you feel so guilty when you realise.

I returned late back to Birmingham Airport from working in Dublin and went to the Multi Storey car park unable to remember what floor my car was on, after about forty minutes of searching I was approached by airport security who asked what the problem was, I explained that I was looking for a maroon Ford Sierra Estate like that one over there which turned out to be mine.

Bought a boring head at a show once as it looked a good price and quality. Took it home and found a logical place to store it and discovered the one I bought the year before at the the same show and had forgotten about.
