Does anyone know the best place to source a screw cutting dial for an ML7, as a friend without internet access, has recently bought a basic machine and is in the process of getting it into full working condition. Thanks

Last time I saw one for sale at the factory in Beeston it was under £30 – that was VAT-free of course.

At the last of their regulay Open Days which I attended regularly – a good day out

                        Paul, et al,

on fleabay, it's "lathe-parts", this is Jim Marshall in Lincolnshire, is just starting a website as "lathe-parts.co.uk", but it isn't running yet. Sells all Myford s/hand spares. Famous for the gingham tablecloth background to his pics.

On the net "lathespares.co.uk" is Mike Thomas in West Yorks, sells good quality s/hand Myford spares and some new parts – grease nipples recommended. Also on fleabay as "mike331487".

Hi All. As a new ML7 owner I have had some dealings with Jim at Lathe-Parts, I have found him to be VERY helpful and more than happy to advise. I bought my lathe at a very reasonable price so decided to strip it down and take it back to the metal, spray and rebuild, also as I have only used a wood turning lathe before, I thought this would help to know the machine. (much as I wanted to use it) and so with help from a senior member on here and the books he donated it was not too difficult.. I am now well into the rebuild with many parts from Lathe-Parts, I should have a lathe that will not have cost too much, and given me a great deal of pleasure in the future. Malcolm
