machine coolant pipe

Hi all.

Has anyone found a supplier of flexible coolant hose at reasonable costs? I'm not talking about the plastic loc line stuff but the metal coil one. The only UK supplier I've found wants £50 plus £17 postage for one but I've found a USA supplier and the same one costs around $20, not sure about postage costs though.

Could you not get a flexible spout from one of those sealey type parts washers as a spare part and use that.

For example part number SM40D.V2-18 from a SM 19 parts washer.

Steve, that will do nicely I think. Thanks very much. I tried all sorts of google searches but didn't think to go for a spare from something else.

I suppose, for a steady feed, an oil can pipe might fit the bill?

These chaps seem to do what's needed. Either galvanised flexible steel exhaust hose (like the flexible conduit, but less leaky), or possibly their stainless steel over-braided marine fuel hose would fit the bill.

 

No connection with them, but I do need to look into some more robust flexible coolant hose for the milling machine, lathe and surface grinder!
