            Bumping after 3 hours?

            Hope that doesn't catch on.

Just wanted to keep it in view for a while. It's had 140 odd views so I guess most people who may have been interested have seen it. It was more of an announcement than anything anyone would reply to so likely to dissappear quickly. I guess it can quietly fade away now most people have noticed. If I could have found an ongoing astronomy thread I would have stuck it in that.

              regards Martin

                Thanks for sharing,

Have you had a chance to watch many yet? – Any you'd recommend?

                Cheers

There is a range of topics from The Curse of the Black Pearl a pantomine for the Cambridge Young Astronomer section to the tecnical detail of CAT Scanning the universe with Quasar Light and even a trawl through the centuries of Astronomic Invention in Steam Powered Astronomy which even includes a telescope main mirror of a rotating bath of mercury driven by a steam engine. (The Association goes loco driving once a year when not in lockdown)

A quick click on the links and a glimpse of the intro gives a fair idea of what to expect with each talk. They are always intended to be both informative and amusing.

                  regards Martin

I'll try and take a look, but I tend to find such large collections a bit overwhelming.

My son gave me a Celestron Astromaster 130 just 2 weeks ago and as yet not had a clear sky to view anything, last night the sky was fairly clear but the moon was hazy so will try again tonight
