Just uploaded a 10.9Mb jpg successfully so the forum seems OK.

What computer and internet connection do you have? Windows, Apple and Linux are generally good at managing memory, but Android and other smart phones may not be so clever!

A few things to try:

• Switching off and on again. Restarting the machine causes it to clean everything up. Sometimes this is the only way to fix a malfunction that failed to release memory after use.
• Try a different browser. e.g Firefox rather than Chrome or vice versa.
• If on Android, try Settings, Developer Options and tick 'Don't Keep Activities'. This causes Android to remove closed programs from memory rather than letting them hang around in case they're wanted again. (The advantage of leaving them in memory is they start faster if called again, the downside is they can squat on the memory needed by something else.)

I use a 16mp Pentax K5D with the recorded pixels set to 2mp. I will see if a larger file will add to the album without causing trouble.

I have just added an 11Mb picture of a planing machine taken at the underfall yard at Bristol docks using a Pentax K3II 24 mp camera.
