Its finally packed up and the rubber thingy where the cable comes out of the domestic iron has sucumbed to old age (It comes to most of us). I have searched without much success because I don't know the proper name for it. Anyone any ideas what it is called and where do they come from. I would buy her a new iron, but she is so attached to her mother's old iron that I have to keep on replacing the cable until it finally dies.

Hi Bob,

Somewhere kicking about I have a box containing around a thousand black neoprene cable relief sleeves. They are/were intended to fit into Bulgin kettle plugs.
