Always ready to moan when things go wrong so here is praise for service from Mitutoyo (UK) Ltd.

I have a Tom Senior Major Mk2 ELT that came with DRO from Mitutoyo,

and one of the scales wasn't working. I took it apart and found that the plastic sealing strip had all but disintegrated.

Ever the optimist I contacted Mitutoyo for a replacement and, although it is an old unit, they managed to work out the seal number and the fact that is was in stock.

Paid by bank transfer against their Pro-Forma invoice and await delivery.

So, well done Mitutoyo.
