I have a collet chuck for my mill which I havn't used in ages and no longer need. I always assumed it was a clarkson autolock but the collets are different? Anyone know what type these are?

            Hi Hollowpoint

I have no idea. I did a search in google images and a few other pages. I see what you mean about the autolock collets. I found some similar looking 'tap' collets, but no match at all. I'm sure one of the experts must know.

              Hi

Thanks for the help, I've been searching Google for about a week now and nothing? Not even a picture or anything similar. I seem to be the owner of a one of a kind collet chuck set.

I looked at this and thought I recognised it as Osborn Titanic. Then I went out to the shed and got my old Titanic chuck out of its box and realised the collets I've got aren't one piece like this one, though I'm pretty sure this would fit. Looking on the web shows several different types of Titanic chucks, including one which uses the same collets as the Posiloc chuck I use all the time. So I 've decided I don't know enough about the different varieties of Titanic chucks to give an answer, but if you google Osborn Titanic you will see something very similar to this. I think there must be several different type of OT chucks just to complicate matters.

                  Anyone know any more /different?

                  Rgds Simon

I think the collets are the same as yours.

The chuck looks just like any other autolock chuck. No markings on it anywhere. The Collets are the same no markings other than sizes.

Very similar but they appear to be the 2 piece type as described by Simon.
