Click the image icon which is the last of the ones along the top of teh editor then drag and drop from your device. No need to put it in an album first.

Ok, time to test inserting images – me trying to spin a boiler endplate:

trying to find a space to add text after adding photo. Ah, it appeared at the top.

managed to get to the bottom too.

Right click on the image gave me an option to edit (windows 10) with very limited facility but easy shrink. Save in that window dumped a numbered file in my ‘downloads’ which I could then drag into this thread as per initial instructions.

Crap. After posting, the second image that should be half size looks bigger, then when I click it it turns out to be cropped not shrunk. (btw this is under the hood of a loco that appeared in the letters pages of ME a few months ago).

OK Lets try something; an interesting old micrometer

Full size image; 5184 x 3888 pixels 4.2MBSeems to fill the current pane OK, even though it’s much larger
