            Hi Kevin,

From memory, teh one I made for my 10V is a drilled out 2" piece of 1/2" brass rod. Cross hole a bit down from the top with piece of ordinary steam pipe across it and probably a 1mm/No.60 hole, silver soldered in.

0BA hole in the bottom with a plug, lid silver sodlered on an 0Ba plug on top (I didn't have any bigger taps/dies in those days).

Doing it again I would make the top plug bigger and drill a smaller hole in the steam pipe as the oil flow is a bit too generous.

Neil, I made one for a little (1/4" bore, 3/8" st)wobbler, it's about half the size of yours, I had similar trouble with over oiling, so I put a bit of wire in the hole.

Kevin, I made a flat bit from an old sewing machine needle for my second oiler, not sure the size, but less than .5 mm. Ian S C

                  Ian,

I put a bit of wire in the hole.

                  that's a good idea!
