Your infra red filtered ( purple ish) photo transistor (open base?) Will be deliberately blind to non ir..thus may be dark all the time..the toy will be looking for light/dark ordark / light changes… caused by movement in front of the sensor. …you would be fine with a phototranistor with out the filter…btw the original was probably a phototransistor not ldr. ( ldr are now much more expensive to manufactures than phototransistor. ..at least they were to us)

It's working at last, so thought I would conclude this thread just in case someone has it in their Bookmarks.

            MichaelG,

How the blue blazes did you do the "Look" ?

I'm using 8.1.3 with 8.3 waiting to be installed.

What I hate is progress just for the sake of it or something or someone justifying their position.

              Geoff,

Nothing clever: Simply copied the URL from your post, then wrote my text, selected the word, clicked the hyperlink icon and pasted the URL.

I fear that your problems may be down to the 'improved' iOS

              MichaelG.

              .

P.S. … in case it's not obvious; the easiest way to pick up a YouTube link seems to be to use the 'mail-to' feature [under 'Share'] and copy the link from the draft eMail message.
