      hello all,

As most of you can see i am building an 08, i was quartering my axels the other day and milled a 3mm (width) slot for the key steel, one seems to be slightly off centre is this something to worry about or is it something i can correct when i set the cranks? i have not yer keyed the cranks but keyed the wheels

          Hi Romeo,

I fear it might cause you problems – worst case, get the wheels set up and create a new key slot on the other side of the axle. Others with more experience than me may advise otherwise. I used a jig and loctite on my shunter.

            Hi Neil,

yer i think i have just enough play in the slot to set it up right, i guess i will find out if it binds or not, i might be able to make it up by playing with the con rod distances smiley or yes as you said

            Regards,

            Romeo
