Spent many an hour watching these guys solving puzzles like that.

Not the sort you would knock up in the workshop in a few hrs .

I have long wondered about making a small “Art piece” for the coffee table and the look of this puzzle has got me thinking again. I also have a small Compac sideways reading dial gauge I could possibly incorporate into the design.

While the hidden complexity and the machining of that one is admirable, I do like like the elegant simplicity of this puzzle, and it's simple enough to knock up in an afternoon, making a nice gift.
