A bit of fun with a Ball Bearing

Here's a 3D maze I knocked up as an experiment, it would be better in opaque filament so you can't see where the 15mm ball bearing is.

If you succeed you can reward yourself with a bottle of Glenfiddich (that's a miniature BTW!)

How long did it take to print and how many attempts?

Worked first time, but I know the machine quite well now. It estimates 4 hrs and 40 minutes, but it was under three hours.

What machine do you have?

I ask, as I have been a 2 hours into a print, only to hear a strange noise, as it drags a lump of filament around the part……

Its a "Fisher Delta" printer. I got at the show at Warwick.

Its been a steep learning curve…..

What are you using to create the files for printing?

I'm using Fusion 360 and Slic3r

It should be a fairly safe print as the base is big and the walls area reasonable thickness, not much to come adrift as long as it can bridge a ~17mm gap.

I'm designing in Turbocad.

The 3D40 come with two 'preparation' programs the one I've been using is Autodesk Studio which takes an STL and outputs a 3Gdrem file which the printer prints.
