Thanks Peter, will keep an eye open for similar piping.

Geoff – Fully recovered from yesterday's headache. GD or the heat?

Update; This morning I received the batteries . I simply could slide off the plastic sleeved frem them, remove the pins were necessary- left one pin at the + and one at the – and bent those backward and the package slid without problems into the battery holder of my Micro 2000. switched it on and it worked!

Next thing is to find out about reloading them when empty, perhaps the with the micrometer supplied charger will work?

I was ready for 25 Euro incl. shipping costs!

I have gone back through your previous post on the battery subject but cannot see where you have identified what it is you actually bought.

Please could you post a link or part number so that others with a Micro 2000 can benefit.

Once I see what the actual battery/cells are, I should be able to say whether the standard charger is suitable.

What I have bought are 2 VARTA ,Ni-MH ,2/V250H ,+2,4V cells. There is a green hard plastic cover around the 2-cell packs that easily slides off in one direction. With the cover on, the diameter is slightly too large.

I just received 2 new batteries today from “all batteries” for my 2 micro 2000’s

these are a direct replacement but lithium ion

                cost £20.30 for 2 delivered

anyone any idea how long I should charge for and is it ok to keep plugged in when not using?
