After reading the WARCO lathe review, I wonder how valid they are, as the company that makes the machines of any make usually advertise in the MEW.

I have one of the WARCO machines revued and I could hardly believe my lathe is the same one on revue. I suppose to be fair I have had, and used mine, for twelve months now and probably know more about any problems associated with the machine than the person who revued it.

The above does not mean I wish I hadn't bought mine, just that there are problems with the lathe, mine anyway, that have had to be sorted out.

Can't speak for others but the ENG-12 that I reviewed in the current mag had no imput from ARC so I would say its a valid test.

Unless its a long term test some faults or shortcommings may not show up and it will also depend on the work the machine is given eg a couple of test cuts on some 1" ali will give different results to 9" of CI flywheel.
