      Hi

This is my first post in this forum. I have a Hobbymat MD65 and my tailstock revolves around the D-shaped way just as described here. The author of the last post in this thread glues the blue plastic part (see drawing) but I want mine adjustable.

I would like to add adjustment set screws (red in drawing) to fix the plastic part and thereby prevent the tailstock from revolving. Any feedback on that or any other ideas?

      Thanks

          There is good precedent yes

Have a look at the multitude of [slightly] adjustable inserts on this: **LINK**

I would feel inclined to try make two "wedges" that can be thrust against the blue plastic part. Tap the block, so that tightening the screw on each side forces down the plastic, to act a brake to prevent the Tailstock from moving along the bedway.

There is a separate mechanism for clamping along the bedway which can be seen in this post. Sorry for not clarifying that in my drawing.
